Everyone talks about how delicate and fragile the pinot grape is and how tough it is to make a solid Pinot Noir... I think the same is true for Zinfandel. 90% of those out there are jammy, in-your-face, alcohol bombs.... with very few that are balanced and to my liking. Personally, I'm searching for the Neve Campbell of Zinfandels... but hey, that's just me. Hey Chris… completely agree with you on the Zin/Pinot comparison.
